Description

The Proving Ground operates seven days per week with 24 hr operation during weekdays. We are looking for an individual to work as a member of the Track Control team who are responsible for ensuring safe operation of our test circuits and associated facilities. Working on a shift basis, the role is varied and requires those in Track Control to make decisions regarding operation of the facilities as situations change throughout the day. 

Good communication and customer facing skills are required when dealing with customers from both the UK and overseas, ensuring their requirements are accommodated in a professional manner.

Being part of our Emergency response team and following a period of training, the candidate would be required to attend any incidents or emergencies that may occur during testing. 

Reviewing customer risk assessments to ensure they are fit for purpose & monitoring their activities whilst on site 

  • Shift working - Allowances available vary based on shift - Early shift 22.66% or Night Shift 37.5%
  • Mixture of office based and outdoor working 
Experience

Essential Experience 

  • Experience of working within a busy vehicle test or similar environment. 
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role where effective communications are key. Also communicating with other members of a larger team to ensure that the customer enjoys consistent levels of service 

Desirable experience  

  • Experience of working with EV's and Hybrid vehicles would be an advantage 
  • Some mechanical knowledge would also be advantageous 
  • Recent experience and knowledge of Health & Safety procedures/policies, required for safe operation
  • Engineering or similar industry
Skills
  • Good IT based skills
  • Good communication skills 
  • Able to work as part of a focused delivery team
  • First Aid at work qualification
  • A technical understanding of vehicle systems 
Qualifications
  • Clean Driving Licence 
  • First Aid Trained 
  • GCSE or BTEC equivalent in Maths & English
  • Any Health and Safety qualifications would be an advantage
