We are looking for a Senior Technician to join our fantastic Propulsion & Electromobility Test team in Nuneaton.

The Propulsion & Electromobility Test team are responsible for the delivery of conventional ICE, Hybrid and xEV engine testing which includes engine palletisation, instrumentation, test and data delivery, within the Propulsion Test and Development Centre.

Please note:

  • This role will work a shift pattern when necessary (morning, afternoon and night) as well as flexible extended hours
  • The role supports additional Emissions facilities where required in the wider business.
Experience

Essential:

  • Completion of test programmes following pre-defined procedures within Engine Testing Environment
  • An understanding of automotive systems and ability to diagnose fault

Desired:

  • Engine test control software (STARS)
  • Understanding of current generation gasoline, diesel and EV powertrains, and emissions components to be able to troubleshoot, perform assembly, strip and repair activities
  • Test Procedure and Risk Assessments
Skills

Essential:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, in particular MS Office
  • Be able work alongside customer engineers, Type Approval Authorities, HORIBA MIRA engineers or unsupervised to carry out work programmes
  • Be competent to carry out unsupervised - Planned Facility Maintenance and Repairs together with maintaining appropriate stock levels of consumables
  • Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate into a team working environment.
  • Work to required Health & Safety standards and ensure that company quality standards are adhered to

Preferred:

  • ETAS INCA hardware and software
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • HNC or equivalent in Engineering Discipline

Preferred:

  • HND/Foundation Degree in Engineering
