Description

HORIBA MIRA is a global provider of pioneering engineering, research and test services to the automotive, defence, aerospace and rail sectors. Experience

Essential Experience:

  • Vehicle workshop experience
  • Automotive experience
  • Familiar with automotive terms and vehicle components
  • Instrumentation and data acquisition

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous 1-2 years in automotive industry
  • Vehicle safety or crash test related experience
  • Test facility based experience
  • Automotive electrical systems knowledge
  • High speed camera experience
  • FARO CMM experience
Skills
  • Excellent English based communication skills
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and be receptive to skills being taught
  • Think outside the box to contribute to developing unique tests for specialist product tests
  • It may be required to work overtime, shift pattern including some occasional weekends
  • Capable of working in a dynamic & ever changing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to multitask & manage multiple tasks at once
  • Able to self task & progress work without constant direction
  • Able to work individually or as part of a team
  • Capable of driving delivery of tests forward, whilst keep quality at the forefront
  • Able to liaise with test engineers, good communication
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • City and guilds or equivalent

  • Electrical/Electronic Qualifications
  • FLT Licence
  • Crane Licence
Other information
  • 39 hour week (Mon - Thurs 8.00 - 16.45 & Fri 08.00 - 15.45 > 45 mins lunch)
  • 12 months contract - inside IR35
  • It may be required to work overtime, shift pattern including some occasional weekends
