With over 70 years’ experience in developing some of the world’s most iconic vehicles, our engineers utilise the latest test facilities and simulation tools to make vehicles and journeys safer, cleaner, more efficient and rewarding.

As the successful candidate you will be based with a key client based in Essex (UK) where you will be part of a small team responsible for all aspects of vehicle EMC delivery. You will offer EMC expertise to a large OEM and lead all EMC activities from initial programme launch through to production.

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Customer liaison
  • Tracking components and vehicles for EMC compliance
  • Risk analysis for potential vehicle / component issues
  • Scheduling development vehicles for test
  • Wiring and package reviews
  • Project management of multiple large scale projects
  • Support testing at EMC facility when required in UK
Experience

Essential experience for this role would include:

  • Electrical Engineering background
  • Understanding of EMC test methods and principles

Desirable experience for this role would include:

  • Automotive development experience
Skills

Essential skills for this role would include:

  • Good communication/interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work with detailed technical documentation
Qualifications

Essential qualifications for this role would include:

  • HNC/D (BTEC Level 4) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
    • Related qualification
    • Equivalent time served experience

Preferred qualifications for this role would include:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related subject
    • Related qualification
Other information
  • Minimum 6 month contract
  • Inside IR35
  • To be based at customer site in Dunton, Essex
  • Full Drivers licence required
  • Must have right to work in the UK with no restrictions
  • Due to COVID, the role is currently operating under Hybrid working, with a minimum of 2 days per week required in the office.  It is expected that this will increase to full time office based during 2022.
