Description

HORIBA MIRA is a word-class, independent engineering consultancy, operating in multiple locations around the world, to support vehicle manufacturers and their supply chain with cutting-edge engineering and test expertise.

This role will require to operate as the Senior Technical member of the A&P Test Laboratories department, which includes two K&C rigs, the Vehicle Semi Anechoic Chassis Dynamometer and the Anechoic chamber. Leading the team to deliver brilliantly.

In support of the Manager of A&P Test Services, build an effective and efficient sub-team to service HORIBA MIRA’s growing customer base:

  • Brilliant project delivery to cost, time and quality
  • Technical leadership and understanding of the Rigs and Facilities’ capability
  • Resource planning, control and flexible deployment
  • Facility bookings planning and coordination
  • Facilities operation, including H&S, Quality and Environmental aspects
  • Commercial team support with customer enquiries and proposal development
  • Coordination and support of other attribute teams (NVH and ADAS) activity for the delivery of test work within existing facilities.
Experience

The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in the Automotive Industry covering the following:

  • 1+ Year managing at a small team, with day-to-day operational responsibility and experience of working in a complex environment.
  • Expertise on vehicle rig & laboratory testing and/or chassis related engineering development activity
  • Demonstrate clearly delivery of significant improved performance in past roles
  • Customer facing environments

Other desired experience includes:

  • Working for a consultancy, Tier 1 or OEM
Skills

The candidate must show:

  • Great people management and motivational skills
  • Technical knowledge of vehicle dynamics/chassis systems 
  • Technical knowledge of rigs and laboratory testing
  • Able to work and coordinate activities within a cross functional organisation
  • Able to achieve customer satisfaction on all the work delivered
Qualifications

-Degree Educated on either Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

-Management and Leadership 

Other preferred qualifications

-MSc or postgraduate training on business/people management

-Chartered Engineer
