Description

An opportunity has arisen within the propulsion and electromobility group to recruit an engineer into the test team at the Quatro Park site in Basildon, Essex. Products tested can vary but are focused on EV batteries and associated technologies. 

This role is suitable for either recently graduated engineers or those with more experience. Ideally, we are looking for engineers with an electrical engineering background but would consider great engineers with a desire and aptitude for learning new skills.

Key elements of these customer facing roles are planning, managing and executing customer test programmes.

 

Please note; this role is based in our Basildon, Essex office (SS14 3GH)

Experience

Essential experience

  • Working with transducers, signal conditioning equipment and data loggers
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team to provide test solutions
  • Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, DVM’s etc.
  • Able to use MS Word and Excel to a good standard

Preferred experience

  • Project management
  • Electrical engineering
  • Working with high voltage DC
  • Working with internal and external customers on problem resolution
  • Knowledge of Electric Vehicle systems/ batteries
  • Knowledge of Canalyzer / NI Labview or NI Test Stand
Skills

Useful skills for the role include

  • Electrical/electronic circuit design and build

  • Understanding of work package quoting
  • CAD- primarily mechanical design
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • High standard of reading and writing in English

Qualifications

Essential

  • HNC Electrical / electronics or other engineering subject

Preferred

  • Degree in electrical / electronic engineering or other engineering subject
